Saint Andre School, Bodhjungnagar was started as a result of the felt need of the people of surrounding villages by a local managing committee in the year 1986, with 12 children and one master. Due to lack of proper facilities and experience the people offered the school to the Holy Cross Fathers in the year 1991.
Since then Saint Andre school has been managed and administered by the Holy Cross Educational Foundation. The members of the Society of the Fathers of Holy Cross are Catholics, a minority community.
